Being a GenX, I have a love/hate relationship with tech. I think we’re pretty lucky to have learned two operating systems. We grew up in an analog world, but we were still young enough to understand tech during the digital revolution. On one hand, I believe it’s good and has made so many things in life much easier. Certainly made access to porn simpler, which I’m grateful for because I’ve always been addicted to that. But on the other hand, it’s terrible. When it doesn’t work it’s extremely frustrating and depending on the situation, debilitating. Social media is mostly AI slop now. And I hate how anyone can be found anywhere, anytime with minimal effort. At the risk of sounding like a paranoid schizo freak, I feel like I’m constantly being watched by the government and corporations. Whether I’m at home, work or traveling, there’s tech and sensors and gps everywhere! And they can all be hacked to work against you. And I hate it. I very much miss the days when if you weren’t at home or work, you were basically off-grid.

I really miss the 80’s.
